Local sources say the body of a young man who was mysteriously murdered has been found in the Aino Maina area of Kandahar city.

Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Wednesday, August 12, that the young man was named Maqsood Ahmad Ahmadi and was originally from Tirin Kot, the capital of Uruzgan province.

According to the sources, the young man’s body was found with his identity card still in his pocket. Based on the card, Maqsood Ahmad Ahmadi was 21 years old.

The sources added that the young man was first mysteriously murdered, and his body was then dumped in the mountains of Aino Maina.

The reason and motive for the murder remain unclear, and no information has been released about those responsible.

The incident comes as reports of mysterious killings in parts of Afghanistan have emerged in recent months.

On Tuesday, local sources in Barmal district of Paktika province also reported the brutal murder of a middle-aged woman in border areas between the province and Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
