Sources in Faryab province say three young men were killed in separate incidents across the province over the past 24 hours.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Tuesday, September 22, that the bodies of the young men were found in the Alahandi-Khana and Zagharkhana areas of Andkhoy district.
According to the sources, one of those killed was Pedram Arab, a 23-year-old second-year medical student at a private university in northern Afghanistan.
The killings come as reports of criminal incidents have increased in different parts of the country in recent days.
Over the past two days, the deaths of at least 10 people have also been reported in the provinces of Khost, Herat, Kapisa, and Nangarhar.
