The Pakistani military has reported killing five people in Balochistan province over alleged links to terrorism, claiming that they had taken 23 people hostage.
Dawn reported on Sunday, September 20, that the military’s media wing announced the operation.
According to the report, the Pakistani army said the five were killed in the Kalat area of Balochistan province.
The military’s media wing claimed that after killing the five people, its forces also freed the 23 civilians who had allegedly been held hostage.
A day earlier, the Pakistani army had also reported killing 11 people in Balochistan on similar allegations.
