Amy Martin, head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Afghanistan, has called for sustainable funding, humanitarian access and meaningful participation of women in the humanitarian response for people in need.
OCHA wrote on X on Sunday, October 4, that Martin had participated in a photo exhibition at the European Parliament last month.
At the exhibition, Martin spoke about the challenges of reaching people in need in Afghanistan and said continued humanitarian assistance requires sustainable funding and humanitarian access.
She also stressed the importance of meaningful participation of women in the humanitarian response in Afghanistan.
