Pakistan Bears Most of US Mistakes in Afghanistan, Says Imran Khan

Pakistani PM criticized the Western media at a meeting, saying that instead of praising the country for its sacrifices in Afghanistan, they accused Pakistan of a double game, and have damaged its international reputation.

Kabul – Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan says the United States has made mistakes during its 20-year war against terrorism in Afghanistan, and its country had no choice but to bear the brunt of the situation.

Imran Khan also criticized the Western media at a meeting on Monday, December 13, saying that instead of praising the country for its sacrifices in Afghanistan, they accused Pakistan of a double game, and have damaged its international reputation, according to Pakistani media.

In addition, Pakistan suffered the most casualties during the war in Afghanistan because with the mistakes of the US, millions of people have been displaced to Pakistan and hundreds of millions of dollars have been lost to this country, Imran Khan added.

“The inability of the national leadership to rationally manage the situation in Afghanistan has made the country both pro-US and anti-US,” he said.

Pakistan’s prime minister has said the country is being blamed by the international community for wrongdoing, while also being blamed for the atrocities in New Delhi in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK).

In the meantime, Imran Khan’s remarks come as Pakistan has been repeatedly accused by the US and the Western community of playing a double game against Afghanistan, and blaming it for the collapse of the country.
