Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia will continue modernizing its armed forces while achieving new milestones in its defense industry.

Russia’s TASS news agency reported on Monday, July 13, that Putin made the remarks during the “Everything for Victory” forum organized by the People’s Front movement.

Putin said that despite pressure from Western countries, Russia continues to strengthen its economy, improve its financial situation, modernize its armed forces, and expand its defense industry.

He also stressed that Russia’s strength lies in its ability to overcome challenges and expressed confidence that Moscow would prevail in the war against Ukraine.

In another part of his remarks, Putin said Ukrainian attacks had caused disruptions to Russia’s fuel supply, but added that the situation would gradually improve.

According to Putin, Russia is developing a new logistics network to transport equipment and supplies, including to the Crimean Peninsula, in an effort to make those routes less vulnerable to attacks.
