The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has called for continued serious resistance and emphasized drawing on the legacy of Ahmad Shah Massoud on the anniversary of his death.
The front said in a statement on Wednesday, September 9, that Ahmad Shah Massoud was killed in an attack 25 years ago, describing the incident as a turning point in Afghanistan’s contemporary history.
The National Resistance Front said that Massoud’s ideas and aspirations are more clearly understood under the current circumstances in Afghanistan than in the past.
The front emphasized that, as the “heir to Ahmad Shah Massoud’s ideas and path,” it would continue its struggle until what it called the “occupation” is dismantled.
The remarks come as the National Resistance Front has continued carrying out attacks against the Taliban in various parts of Afghanistan in recent months.
