The Taliban’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock says a Russian company has expressed readiness to invest in Afghanistan’s agriculture sector and chemical fertilizer production.
The ministry said on Wednesday, October 7, that Mawlawi Sadr-e-Azam Osmani, the ministry’s deputy minister for agriculture and livestock affairs, met with Adamyan Soren Rachikovich, CEO of the Russian company “TEXHOTEKC.”
According to the Taliban, the Russian company expressed interest during the meeting in investing in agriculture and chemical fertilizer production in Afghanistan.
He said that initially, chemical fertilizers would be imported from Russia to Afghanistan, followed by the construction of a chemical fertilizer production plant inside Afghanistan.
