Sources have reported the killing of a 28-year-old man in Sheberghan, the capital of Jawzjan province.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Thursday, November 5, that the young man had been shot dead.
Meanwhile, the Taliban said the incident took place at a bakery on the morning of Wednesday, November 4.
According to the Taliban, the killing followed a family dispute, and four people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
This comes as reports of mysterious killings and armed violence have increased in various parts of the country in recent months.
These incidents have heightened concerns over growing insecurity across Afghanistan.
