Local sources have reported clashes between Taliban fighters and Pakistani forces in Dand Patan and Aryob Zazi districts of Paktia province.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Saturday evening, October 10, that both sides were using heavy weapons in the clashes.
According to the sources, some local residents have also fled their homes as a result of the fighting.
The sources added that Pakistani forces had targeted several villages in Aryob Zazi district.
However, no precise information is yet available about possible casualties from the clashes.
