Sources say armed Taliban members raided residential homes in the Angor Bagh area of Nangarhar and ordered residents to vacate their houses.

Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Sunday, October 11, that the move was intended to accommodate individuals affiliated with Shahabuddin Delawar, head of the Taliban’s Red Crescent Authority.

According to the sources, residents staged protests against the move and demanded justice. However, armed Taliban members suppressed the protests.

This comes after several residents told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Saturday that, despite having legal documents, Sharia deeds, and nearly four decades of residence in the area, the Taliban had ordered them to vacate their homes.

According to these residents, at least 40 houses in the Angor Bagh area of the fourth district of Jalalabad city have been forcibly vacated.
