The Taliban have announced that a Kazakh delegation has arrived in Kabul to participate in the “Afghan-Kazakh Trade and Economic Forum.”
The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce said on Saturday, June 20, in a post on X that the delegation is led by Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
According to the report, the Taliban claimed that the visit of the “high-level delegation” reflects Afghanistan’s importance in Kazakhstan’s regional and economic policy.
Although Kazakhstan has not officially recognized the Taliban, it has removed the group from its list of terrorist organizations and has established broad relations with it.
