Kabul – Taliban have appointed new employees for the embassy and consulates of Afghanistan in Pakistan, according to reports.
According to media reports, Sardar Mohammad Shakib has started work as the first secretary in Afghanistan’s embassy in Pakistan.
As Pakistan hasn’t recognized the Taliban, the new Taliban representative to run the affairs of the Afghan embassy in Islamabad will not have the official title of “ambassador,” Reuters news agency reported.
In addition, Hafez Mohebullah, Mullah Ghulam Rasool, and Mullah Mohammad Abbas have been appointed to the Peshawar, Quetta, and Karachi consulates.
Millions of Afghan refugees have visa problems in Pakistan, the Pakistani foreign minister said.
Apparently, the embassy of Afghanistan in Pakistan was empty since the former government’s president Ashraf Ghani summoned Najibullah Alikhil with senior diplomats over the abduction of his daughter Silsila Alikhil to Kabul on Sunday, July 18, 2021.
