Sources in Kabul city confirm that the Taliban have recently prevented females from entering amusement parks in this city.
A source told Hasht-e Subh on Wednesday when she wanted to go to one of the public parks in Kabul, she was not allowed by the Taliban.
According to the source, the staff of the park told her that the Taliban ordered them not to permit women to enter the parks.
On the other hand, the Habibullah Zazi private park in the east of Kabul also asked female visitors in an announcement that the park will be closed to women.
This notice, which was removed from the park’s Facebook after a while, states that according to the Ministry of Vice and Virtue’s verbal order, “women are prohibited from entering the park.”
Reuters news agency meanwhile in a report also said that the Taliban Vice and Virtue Ministry spokesperson has confirmed that restrictions have been imposed in this regard.
According to Reuters, this Taliban member refused to provide more details and Bilal Karimi, the deputy spokesman of the Taliban, also did not respond to the media’s question on this issue.
Since the Taliban swept into power in August last year, they have imposed serious restrictions on women and they were systematically excluded from different areas of Afghan society
