The Taliban’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)says that over the past 24 hours, nine people have died and 13 others have been injured due to recent rains and floods in the country.
The authority said on Thursday, April 9, that these incidents occurred in 18 provinces across Afghanistan.
According to the group, 80 houses have been destroyed, and 626 others have been partially damaged.
The Taliban added that 1,700 jeribs of agricultural land have been destroyed and 218 trees have been lost.
The Taliban had earlier announced that over the past two weeks, more than 148 people have died in natural disasters across Afghanistan.
