Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, met and held talks with Stephen Doughty, the UK Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday, October 6, that the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom during the meeting.
According to the statement, trade and investment, education, security and other issues of mutual interest were among the main topics discussed.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments and expressed concern over the changing situation in the region.
Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional and global challenges.
The two sides agreed to work toward launching the “Pakistan-UK Bilateral Political Dialogue” as soon as possible.
