The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says it provides essential nutrients to children, adolescent girls, and pregnant women.
The organization wrote on its X account on Tuesday, October 6, that providing adequate nutrients is important for children’s growth and maintaining their health.
The United Nations Children’s Fund also says it provides iron supplements to children, adolescent girls and pregnant women to prevent anemia.
Iron and nutrient deficiencies are among the major causes of anemia and can affect the growth, health, and learning abilities of children and adolescents.
UNICEF emphasizes that it seeks to meet the nutritional needs of vulnerable groups, particularly children and women, by providing nutritional supplements and counseling services.
