Kabul – On Tuesday, December 14, the Taliban forces threatened the local residents of Ghazni province and searched their houses in the Safid Ab Borjgi village of Nawur district.
“Taliban forces entered the village without coordination with the local people, representatives, elders, and searched the houses. They entered the houses by force, regardless of the etiquette and the usual principles, and threatened the locals that we would kill you, and that each of you would suffice with a bullet. When they could not find weapons from the houses, the women of the village were threatened to show them the houses of those who had weapons,” said Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Safid Ab village.
In addition, they also fired 30 shots on the students of the winter course of Safid Ab School, then the forces approached the village clinic, and when five people, including the clinic doctor and the patients, came to them to ask them why, they were shot too, according to Ahmad.
Moreover, the source added that they had been in contact with Mawlawi Nesar, the district governor of Nawur who has explicitly stated that this is not Ashraf Ghani’s government, but is the government of the Islamic Emirate and knows who to shoot at.
Mawlawi Nesar, however, denied the allegations, saying that their forces had reports of weapons in the village and had gone there for that purpose and that no one had been threatened or harassed.
Meanwhile, the Taliban interim government announced a general amnesty since the takeover and pardoned the former security forces.
