The Taliban have announced that 226 families, comprising 1,030 people, were forcibly returned to Afghanistan the previous day.
Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban, said in a statement on Tuesday, September 22, that 41 families, comprising 203 people, entered the country through the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar, while 14 families, comprising 79 people, entered through the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar.
According to the Taliban, 155 families, comprising 686 people, returned to Afghanistan through the Silk Bridge in Nimroz.
Another 16 families, comprising 62 people, entered the country through the Islam Qala crossing.
