The Taliban flogged 20 people in Helmand and 7 people in Zabul on suspicion of robbery and being in premarital relations.
The convicted people were flogged on Wednesday (December 14th) in the football stadiums of Helmand and Zabul provinces, and the spectators were mostly Taliban, sources confirmed to Hasht-e Subh.
According to sources, the non-Taliban spectators present in the stadium were warned not to take pictures and video footage, and their mobile phones were collected before entering the scene.
This is not the first time that the Taliban punish the convicted people in public.

In another incident, the Taliban publicly flogged 18 men and 9 women in Parwan province on suspicions of robbery, having premarital affairs and running away from home in the football stadium of Charikar city.
This move has brought international condemnations.
