Local sources in Jawzjan province say that the Taliban have tested their air defense systems in preparation for potential attack threats from Pakistan.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Wednesday, March 25, that Taliban fighters at the 209 Al-Fath Corps base in Sheberghan conducted tests of their air defense systems.
According to the sources, the military test lasted nearly twenty minutes and caused concern among residents in several areas, including Eid Mahalla, Khwaja Khairan, and Jangal Bagh.
Residents of Jawzjan added that the Taliban’s aerial firing and preparation of air defense systems have raised fears among the public about possible Pakistani attacks in the province.
Sources say that the Taliban have not yet provided details about the incident.
This comes as Pakistani airstrikes in various provinces of the country, including Kabul and Nangarhar, have caused significant damage and resulted in the deaths of many civilians.
