U.S. President Donald Trump said ongoing talks between Iran and the United States are continuing, adding that Tehran faces a “last chance” to reach an agreement.
Speaking on August 3, Trump said negotiations between the two countries are still underway and again warned that a large-scale attack on Iran would follow if the talks fail.
“I want to give them one last chance before cutting off their heads,” Trump said.
The remarks come after Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, previously said that Tehran is not currently engaged in any negotiations with Washington.
Following those comments, Trump accused Iran of “incredible double-dealing,” claiming that Iranian officials are seeking negotiations on one hand while rejecting talks with the United States on the other.
