UNICEF

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced that it is working to strengthen primary healthcare services and expand access to healthcare for mothers and children.

The organization said in a post on X on Thursday, October 8, that with support from Korea, it is strengthening primary healthcare services and expanding access to healthcare for mothers, newborns and children.

UNICEF added that its programmes also include providing vaccination and nutrition services.

The organization emphasized that every child has the right to start life in good health.

The assistance comes as many women, children, and pregnant mothers in remote areas of Afghanistan lack access to quality healthcare services.
