The Afghanistan United Front has claimed that it killed a member of the Taliban in Kandahar.
The front said on X early Saturday, October 3, that the Taliban fighter was killed during an operation by its forces on Friday.
According to the United Front, the Taliban fighter was killed in the Sarband area of Arghandab district in Kandahar province.
The claim comes as anti-Taliban forces have reported dozens of attacks against Taliban fighters in different parts of the country in recent months.
However, until several months ago, the Taliban had denied any activities by opposition fronts in Afghanistan.
