The Afghanistan United Front has claimed that it killed two Taliban fighters in a targeted operation in Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province.
The front said in a statement posted on X on Friday evening, September 11, that it had killed two Taliban fighters in Helmand.
According to the statement, the United Front said the two Taliban fighters had been using religion as a pretext to oppress and extort local residents.
The front said: “The Islam created by Hibatullah is not acceptable to the people of Afghanistan.”
The claim comes as attacks by anti-Taliban fronts against the group have increased in various parts of the country in recent weeks.
