A pregnant woman with twins in her womb ended her life by hanging in Jawzjan province.

Local sources told Hasht-e Subh that this incident took place on Sunday, January 30, in Eid Mahala neighborhood of Sheberghan, Jawzjan’s capital city.

The woman reportedly hanged herself with a rope following the occurrence of a verbal argument and domestic violence.

Cases of violence against women have been repeatedly reported in Jawzjan in the past few months.
