The Yemeni army has said that the Saudi-led coalition carried out airstrikes on two cities in the country, including Sanaa, which is controlled by Houthi fighters.
Al Jazeera reported early Sunday, October 4, that local Yemeni media outlets reported the airstrikes.
According to the report, the media center of the armed forces of Yemen’s internationally recognized government said that the Saudi-led coalition targeted Houthi militants in Sanaa and Saada.
The Houthis had previously accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out at least 26 attacks on Sanaa.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that more than 200 Yemenis, including children and elderly people, have been displaced by the fighting in the country over the past several weeks.
