Local sources in Paktika have reported the discovery of the body of a schoolchild who attended a religious school in the province, found hanging.
Sources confirmed in a conversation with the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Tuesday, September 22, that the student’s body was found in the Khushamand district of Paktika Province while hanging from a tree.
It remains unclear whether the child died by suicide or was hanged by someone else.
This comes as reports of the killings and suicides of at least 13 people in various parts of the country have emerged during the current week.
A few days ago, local sources also reported that the body of a young man was found hanging in Farah Province.
