Local sources say that several explosions were heard in the Sufian area, which falls under the first and second security districts of Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Sunday, October 4, that the explosions were not very loud.
The sources added that after the explosions were heard, the Taliban closed the road in the first and second security districts to public traffic for several hours.
Meanwhile, another source said that several relatively loud explosions were heard in areas under the first security district of Lashkar Gah.
The cause of the explosions in Lashkar Gah remains unclear, and no further information about the incident has been released so far.
