Sources say that an Afghanistan citizen named Ahmad Faisal was abducted by unidentified individuals in Tehran two days ago.

Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Sunday, September 13, that Faisal was from Sar-e Pol Province and that the kidnappers had demanded US$50,000 in exchange for his release.

Ahmad Faisal’s family has been trying to find him since his disappearance, but so far, no specific action has been taken by the Iranian government to secure his release.

The last location Ahmad Faisal sent to his brother before his disappearance was near an area called “Baghcheh Amu Vahid” in Tehran.

Images sent by the kidnappers to Ahmad Faisal’s family also show that he has been severely beaten.

In an audio recording obtained by the Hasht-e Subh Daily, the voice of a person speaking with an Iranian accent can be heard threatening Ahmad Faisal’s family and pressuring them to pay the money.

The recording also contains threats to torture Ahmad Faisal.

Ahmad Faisal’s family is concerned about his condition and is calling on Iranian authorities and the Taliban to take immediate action to locate where he is being held and secure his release.
