The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) says it has carried out a rocket attack targeting a gathering of Taliban forces at Kunduz Airfield.
In a statement posted on X on Thursday, August 6, the AFF said its forces had targeted Taliban positions at the airfield with rockets for the second time in the past week.
According to the group, the attack took place at around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and targeted a gathering of Taliban forces near military helicopters.
The AFF did not provide further details about casualties or the extent of the damage caused by the attack.
The claim comes as armed groups opposed to the Taliban have increased their activities in several Afghan provinces ahead of the fifth anniversary of the Taliban’s return to power.
