Kabul – The United Nations General Secretary, Antonio Guterres, has warned that Afghanistan is on the brink of changing to the biggest human catastrophe in the world.
On Tuesday, October 26, the UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres tweeted that a human crisis is about to happen in Afghanistan, and countries of the world must take measures.
“I want the world to take action, and to support financially the affected people of Afghanistan,” Guterres added.
The UN is competing with the time for providing humanitarian aids and to maintain the basic needs of Afghans by approaching the winter season, he stressed.
Meanwhile, the World Food Program (WFP) says that more than half of the country’s population faces acute food insecurity that puts millions, including children, at risk of death.
