Four American astronauts were launched into space from the state of Florida to begin NASA’s 10-day Artemis II mission around the Moon.
Reuters reported on Wednesday, April 1, that this journey represents one of the most significant steps by the United States toward sending humans back to the surface of the Moon in the coming years.
According to the report, the astronauts were launched into space aboard a large rocket named SLS and an Orion spacecraft from the Kennedy Space Center.
This mission is taking place amid heightened space competition between the United States and China, as both countries strive to implement more advanced space programs.
