Local sources in Herat province have reported a horrifying incident where unidentified individuals brutally killed a sister and her brother in the region.
This tragic event occurred on Monday, July 17th, on Haji Hashem Road, in the Khosh Gate area of Herat.
The identity of the victim, who worked as a nurse in the Herat provincial hospital, has not been disclosed.
According to the sources, the assailants first entered a house in this part of Herat city and then beheaded the two individuals.
As of now, the motive behind this incident remains unclear.
Local Taliban authorities have not provided any statement on the matter.
Since the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, mysterious killings, especially targeting healthcare workers, have increased in various provinces of the country.
This marks the second case of a mysterious murder of a female healthcare worker in the past three months. Prior to this, on Tuesday, May 16th, the hanged body of a female nurse named Nazdana was found in Jaghori district, Ghazni province.
