Kabul – Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) has announced that the amount of electricity imported from Uzbekistan has dropped by 50 percent due to a technical problem.

A statement issued by DABS today Wednesday said that due to a technical problem with the electricity system in Uzbekistan, power will be cut off in 15 provinces by the end of today.

The DABS officials are in close contact with the Uzbek side to resolve the technical issue as soon as possible, Breshna added.

Meanwhile, the country’s electricity system in the capital and provinces has faced cutting of power problems with the onset of winter.
