Kabul – Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) has denied rumors that electricity price is rising in the country, stressing that electricity prices will be implemented and collected as in the past.
“The news of rising electricity prices on social media is a rumor, said Hekmatullah Noorzai, a spokesman for DABS in a video message today Thursday, December 9.
So far, there have been no changes in electricity tariffs and the company will continue to operate as before, he added.
On the other hand, Noorzi points out that with the arrival of winter, the amount of electricity consumption has increased, therefore, the issue has caused electricity pauses in some parts of the country.
DABS spokesperson called on families to save electricity so that electricity could be distributed evenly.
It is worth mentioning that with the rising price of the dollar in the country, some rumors were spread about the increase in the cost of electricity, and a number of citizens claimed that DABS intends to increase the price of electricity as the dollar rises.
Therefore, the matter had created a great concern to the people.
