The death toll from the deadly floods that struck Nepal several days ago has risen to 1,252, while more than 4,200 people remain missing.
Anadolu reported on Thursday, September 3, that families in Nepal are holding symbolic funeral ceremonies for those who died, while many affected people in several areas have no place to hold mourning ceremonies.
According to the report, the total death toll in Nepal and China has risen to 1,273, while 4,757 people, including 844 foreign nationals, remain missing.
Meanwhile, Chinese local officials said that 21 people had died in the deadly floods in the country, while 541 people remained missing, including 261 foreign nationals.
The devastating floods in Nepal occurred eight days ago after a natural glacial dam in the Langtang mountains burst, turning into a massive flow of water and debris through valleys along the mountain slopes.
