Nasir Ahmad Faiq has said that former Afghan military and security personnel are victims of what he described as “Taliban crimes.”
Writing on X on Saturday, June 20, Faiq said that former members of Afghanistan’s security and defense forces are also victims of the “betrayal” of those who, in his view, undermined the peace process and abandoned Afghanistan and its people to the Taliban.
He wrote: “Today, millions of people, including women, girls, young people, and former military and security personnel, are paying the price for those decisions and actions.”
His remarks came in response to reports concerning the killings of former Afghan security personnel.
In recent days, reports have emerged of the mysterious deaths of former military members in different parts of Afghanistan, raising renewed concerns about the safety of former security and defense personnel.
