The Afghanistan Freedom Front has reported fresh clashes in Zebak district of Badakhshan and said it repelled Taliban attacks on its positions.
The front said in a statement posted on X on Monday night, September 7, that its forces had “repelled the attack by the Taliban and their allied foreign terrorists.”
According to the statement, the Freedom Front said its forces put up strong resistance, forcing the Taliban to retreat after suffering casualties.
The Freedom Front said there is currently no precise information about the extent of the Taliban’s casualties and losses.
The front added that the clash lasted for one hour.
This comes as attacks by anti-Taliban fronts have increased in various parts of the country in recent months.
