The Afghanistan Freedom Front has announced that clashes have taken place between its forces and the Taliban in Zebak district of Badakhshan province.
The front said on Monday, August 31, that the clash began at around 9:00 p.m. the previous night and continued for about half an hour.
According to the Afghanistan Freedom Front, the Taliban attacked one of the front’s positions in Zebak, but were forced to retreat following resistance and a counterattack.
The front added that two people wounded in the clash were transferred to Zebak Hospital, but did not specify whether the wounded were members of the Taliban or the Afghanistan Freedom Front.
