The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has reported that two Afghan citizens have been executed in Shiraz province, Iran, on charges related to drug offenses.
Hengaw reported on Monday, June 22, that with these two executions, a total of 12 Afghan citizens have been executed in Iran in less than the past six months.
According to the report, the Afghan citizens were identified as 55-year-old Mirwais Khalilzadi from Nangarhar province and 40-year-old Ibrahim Ahmadshahi from Khost province.
Hengaw said that these two Afghan citizens were executed yesterday in Shiraz.
This comes after another Afghan citizen was also executed a few days earlier in Sistan and Baluchestan province of Iran on similar charges.
