Following an increase in armed robberies in Kabul, a number of shopkeepers have expressed concern over the situation.
Several shopkeepers in Kabul told Hasht-e Subh Daily on Wednesday, May 13, that armed robberies have increased in recent days.
They said thefts from shops have also become more frequent, and that thieves have even stolen food items.
The shopkeepers, while sharing images of the thefts, said they have become exhausted by the growing number of robberies.
Sources also said yesterday that armed robbers stole gold and other valuable property from a house in west of Kabul.
According to the sources, thefts have increased in major cities, including Kabul, Kandahar, and Herat.
