Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has announced the arrest of 31 people who it claims had links to the United States and Israel.
Al Jazeera reported early Sunday, October 4, that the ministry claimed the individuals were arrested in Iran’s Kerman province.
According to the report, the ministry alleged that “large quantities of Molotov cocktails” were seized from the detainees.
Meanwhile, Iranian security agencies have arrested hundreds of people on charges of espionage and links to the United States and Israel following nationwide protests in Iran last winter.
However, a number of people arrested on charges of cooperating with foreign countries have been executed by the Iranian government, drawing strong reactions from other countries and human rights organizations.
