The Israeli military said it has begun striking Hezbollah across Lebanon.

Reuters reported early Monday, March 2, that the Israeli army said these strikes targeted the Iran-backed Hezbollah group.

According to the report, explosions were heard in the southern suburbs of Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold.

So far, no details have been released regarding casualties or the extent of the damage caused by these attacks.

These strikes come amid rising regional tensions following recent clashes between Israel and Iran, raising concerns about the conflict spreading to Lebanon.
