Hamid Karzai, former president of Afghanistan, has condemned recent Pakistani airstrikes on Kandahar, Khost and Paktia provinces, calling them “aggression.”
Karzai said on Thursday, Sept. 24, that Islamabad should abandon this policy and instead pursue a policy of good neighborly relations with Afghanistan.
He added: “It appears that Islamabad is not abandoning its negative policy, the consequences of which have now reached its own doorstep.”
Karzai called on the Pakistani government to make its relations with Afghanistan more “civilized.”
Four civilians were killed in Pakistani airstrikes on parts of Kandahar, Khost and Paktia.
The Taliban also condemned the attacks, saying they would have “dire consequences” for Pakistani forces and “will not go unanswered.”
