Local sources say construction has begun on a road in Qalandar District of Khost Province, funded by residents.

Speaking to the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Wednesday, October 4, the sources said that once completed, the road will connect Kamran Village to Khost City and the Qalandar District market, making travel easier for residents.

According to the sources, residents of the area face significant difficulties travelling to Khost City and the Qalandar District market, and the construction of this road could help ease some of these challenges.

They added that completing the route would also make it easier for residents to access healthcare services.

According to the sources, residents of Qalandar District, People of Afghanistan living abroad, and tribal elders are contributing to the construction of the road.

Meanwhile, residents of other provinces have also previously funded and completed numerous public infrastructure projects using their own money.
