Missile Attack on Taliban Governor’s Office in Kapisa Province, Leaves Three Fighters Dead
Local sources report a missile attack on the Taliban governor’s office in Kapisa province.
The attack took place around 1:00 am on Tuesday, May 9, in the city of Mahmood Raqi, Kapisa’s center.
Although the locals are not saying anything about the perpetrators and casualties of the attack, the Freedom Front has claimed responsibility for the event.
In a statement, the Freedom Front claimed that as a result of the attack at least three Taliban fighters were killed and four others were wounded.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
As the weather heats up, anti-Taliban armed groups appear to have intensified their attacks on Taliban fighters in some provinces of Afghanistan.
There were casualties among both National Resistance Front and Taliban forces after a clash on Monday, May 7, in the Khaja Bahauddin district of Baghlan province.
