Afghanistan Polio Free has announced that a new polio vaccination campaign will begin on Monday, September 21, across all provinces of the country.
The organization said on Wednesday, September 16, on its X account that the campaign in the southern region will be conducted next Tuesday.
Afghanistan Polio Free added that the campaign will be implemented nationwide.
The organization has repeatedly emphasized that polio vaccination is a safe and effective way to protect children against the disease. It has urged families to have their children vaccinated.
Meanwhile, Taliban public health officials in Nangarhar recently reported five confirmed cases of polio in the province.
