Local sources in Badakhshan province report that National Resistance Front forces have taken over the control of Shekay district in this province
On Monday, October 3, sources speaking to Hasht-e Subh said that Mohammad Akram, the district governor of the Taliban for Shekay district has also been arrested by the NRF forces.
There are still no more details about the conflict and possible casualties due to the interruption of telecommunication networks.
Sibghatullah Ahmadi, the spokesman of the National Resistance Front, also confirms the takeover of the Shekay district of Badakhshan province by the NFRF forces.
Ahmadi wrote in a tweet today, Monday, October 3 that the Taliban district governor for this district, along with 10 other Taliban, have been arrested and are now in NRF’s custody.
In the last month, the ambush and attacks of National Resistance Front forces have increased in Karan-o-Manjan, Raghistan, and Kohistan districts of Badakhshan province, and casualties have been inflicted on the Taliban in these districts.
