The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has said that living conditions and the situation regarding the basic rights of people in Afghanistan continue to deteriorate.

The organization said on Tuesday, September 8, that it is concerned about rising humanitarian needs, the forced return of families from Pakistan, and the exclusion of girls from education.

The Norwegian Refugee Council also warned that severe funding shortages have limited the delivery of humanitarian assistance to millions of people in need in Afghanistan.

The organization continues to provide shelter assistance to 75,000 people in need in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan has faced widespread economic and humanitarian crises since the Taliban returned to power, while restrictions imposed by the Taliban on the rights of women and girls continue.
